Time for another income and blog growth report here!
I'll be posting a "One Year of Blogging" recap once my blogging anniversary rolls around in two weeks, but for now, here are the numbers for December.
After the chaos and mess of autumn, I got back on track in November - and it paid off!

- I'd fixed the loading speed of (most of) my blog posts, and improved my bounce rate by a ridiculous percentage.
- I'd switched most of my commission work from international to local (South Korea) due to PayPal restrictions here.
- I'd just started taking Instagram more "seriously" while, at the same time, having more fun with it and posting more frequently.
So in December, I built on those stepping stones.
I continued growing my Instagram with twice daily posts, expanding my focus from just artworks in progress to bullet journal spreads, personal pictures, and impressions from life in Korea.
I continued creating blog posts, now motivated by knowing that with the big hurdle of insanely slow loading speed removed, they'd actually get read. Yay.
Most popular blog posts of December:
I slowly started taking international commissions again. While I can't use PayPal for anything here, I can still use it to pay for my Audible membership and, hopefully, future trips abroad. While I'll have to focus on work for Korean companies, it's still smarter to have multiple streams of income.

I plan to use my Facebook page again in 2018. Still not happy with the platform as a whole, but it feels a bit like a waste ignoring the nearly 2000 subscribers I've got there from my comic artist time. (Especially since I'm working on a new project!)

Blog Statistics & Growth
Blog Posts: I wrote 8 blog posts in December, which is finally back to my good posting rhythm from the beginning of the year.
Pageviews: Well, that was a surprise! I hit 12.4k pageviews in November, which is more than double than I'd expected to reach by the end of the year. My little bullet journal blog trackers got overwhelmed.
Adsense / Youtube Adsense: 3.40 / 2.11
The very first month of Adsense, so I have really nothing to compare this too. Any ideas? Is this a normal number? Is anything normal anymore? Over and out.
My main source of online income is Etsy.
While it still makes only up for a very small part of my overall income (commissions, two long-term freelance graphic design jobs, illustrations for companies in Korea) it is the most fuss-free income stream by now!
Views/Visitors: 4883 / 2312
Income: 244 USD
Passive: 67.20 USD
I love printing, packaging and shipping my own stickers and small stationery sets, but the passive income is really what has me all giddy. It's just so simple - after the initial work of painting, scanning, editing, and layouting the stickers or journal printables, all I have to do is confirm renewals on Etsy, or sometimes answer questions and create custom formats.
And while the overall numbers aren't huge compared with lots of sellers out there (I want to keep my digital download prices affordable, too...) it was enough to pay for all our grocery shopping during the month.
Yeah, the money is stuck on PayPal for now, but still.
I'm really happy with the upward trend overall and the pageviews in particular! Thank you all for visiting my little blog!
The progress so far makes me very motivated for the new year!
